Apperian is looking to redefine enterprise mobility management with a new patent for its Dynamic Policy Engine that facilitates the addition of security, identity and management policies without the need for software development kits (SDKs) or code modification. The approach differs from traditional offerings in that it is able to apply and make updates to app policies instantly while not bothering end users. The approach also does not push users to download new versions of apps.

Brian Day, CEO, Apperian, said, “With development and deployment of enterprise mobile apps taking off, it's essential that organizations provide a secure and consistent experience for users. Existing mobile app security approaches create extra work for developers. They're also cumbersome for end users, forcing them to download new versions of apps every single time a policy has been changed, which lead to lower adoption rates and creates issues with compliance. We designed and developed the Apperian Dynamic Policy Engine to make applying and managing mobile app policies easy for the organization and seamless for end users to drive the highest levels of ROI.”

The Dynamic Policy Engine provides savings in terms of time and money by empowering IT and mobile administrators as it does not require modification of an app's code or use of SDK. The Dynamic Policy Engine makes life easier for non-technical app administrators in the enterprise by providing a point and click web interface to easily apply new policies or policy updates to apps without programming or turning to developers.
