This gamification app aims to give employees a timely nudge to improve performance

Customer experience firm SPLICE Software has released the latest version of its Mobile Leaderboard app, a gamification tool that advocates improved performance through “friendly competition between employees.”
“When you engage your employees with real-time visibility into who’s leading and who’s lagging, people up their game pretty fast!” said Tara Kelly, CEO and president of SPLICE. “With more engaged employees, more customer data is collected and customer experiences are optimised.”
The app, which is designed to fit in with other SPLICE solutions, has new features including more effective security and better data visualisation. The app’s main use, through location-based technology, is assessing the performance of individual retail stores, for example.
Earlier this week the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) released gamification software code to its GitHub account, enabling users to hand out badges or awards either as a standalone application, or being integrated with other Web-based apps.
Last month Enterprise AppsTech featured Wimble, a Finnish startup which aimed to make time management more productive, social and fun through gamification.
